I have for sale beautiful all original survivor - 1958 Olds Eighty-Eight 2dr Sedan with 371 V8 and 3 speed automatic. It is extremely well preserved 2 owner car with 38 000 miles. It`s up to you consideration, but I strongly believe these are original miles. It is very tight car and everything you touch or operate feels like 5 years old car.
Known history: On January 31, 1958, Jared Taylor of Sparta, Michigan purchased this brand new Oldsmobile for his wife Sophie Taylor from Newhouse Oldsmobile, also in Sparta, MI. Jared paid a whopping $1,950 for this ride. Jared and Sophie eventually passed away and their son, Robert Taylor, inherited the car and maintained it for decades, driving it minimally. From 2002 until now it was owned by car collector.
Body
All original body in great condition with 100% original factory paint. Paint color is called Surg Green. The paint has many small defects (chips, small scratches - hard to see in the pictures), but no dents at all. Very straight body. There is minimum rust. Chrome is very good, alumium-zinc parts has small bubbling on it - very usual for this material. Nothing missing, stainless steel in great condition. No cracks in glass.
Interior
Perfect original interior with like new chrome parts and dash. Cloth material was replaced on the seats, the rest is original in great condition. All instruments works, and everything feels like almost new car.
Mechanical
It is pleasure to drive this car. Tight, smooth, low mileage car. New dual exhaust with deep sound, engine purrs and it shifts smoothly. No repairs necessary.
You don`t find such great original car anymore. This car deserves to be kept in this original condition, it`s original only once.
Car can be seen in Hradec Kralove, CZ. I`m just 1 km from highway exit, easy to drive to me. Inspections are welcomed.
