Fahrzeugbeschreibung
Offered here today is one of the most significant impact bumper cars to the Porsche market in quite some time. Arguably, the very nicest preserved 1974 Carrera, US or Euro, Coupe or Targa, in existence today. With just 23,001 documented miles, this amazing example is all original with the exception of tires...they are the 2nd set ever. All numbers and dates matching. COA. Car runs, drives, stops, smells, looks and feels like a new Carrera. No smoke, stories or issues.
Serviced from preserved condition and now turn key road ready needing nothing (other than possibly new/modern tires for touring if you plan on actually driving it much). No leaks, squeaks, smoking or stumbling, no grinding, slipping, wondering, rattles, or even excessive wind noise. Car is tight as a tic, and an exhilarating experience to drive. Complete original owners manuals with dealer stamps. Original working Blaupunkt CR 4074 with optional, unused microphone!Complete, unused amazing original tool kit.Original unused spare, unused air pump, unused plastics, unused jack etc.Original rare factory ski racks with original leather straps. Completely original paint No scratches, dents, blemishes of any kind to paint or body. Less than a handful of tiny rock chips (if that). Stunning ALL original interior including the carpets. Sitting inside this car is a mind blower. No way to convey the smell, but it has that new car, 1974 Porsche, air cooled original smell (if you"re old enough like me to remember it) .
All the VDO gauge needles are deep red still, no sagging targa bar padding, or warped dash components. Fabulous flawless original leather Sport Steering wheel doesn"t even have patina wear yet. Everything works, including the little things like seat belt warning buzzer, hand throttle, and defrost lighted indicator. So amazingly sound and solid throughout. No corrosion or rust, anywhere, ever. Climate controlled, professional storage since new. Even the 1979 tires show no age cracking and are very pliable with no flat spots, indicated that the car was clearly stored off the weight of itself. These midyear Carreras are some of the very lowest production number cars Porsche"s ever put out, on any model, especially the Targas. This car grows more iconic every day that passes.
Truly a rare opportunity as cars with this provenance rarely make it to the public market. Easily a museum lever car in every way. This one checks ALL the boxes guys. I do own this car solely and it is with much passion that I humbly offer it here today for you to enjoy. Serious, serious, serious only please. Primary purpose for auction is exposure. Any bids with low feedback or otherwise deemed unreliable will be canceled unless contacting me prior. The buyer is responsible for the shipping of the said vehicle, but I can help with all the arrangements if needed, at the purchaser"s expense. Please do not bid if you do not intend to purchase or have the available funds! Full payment is due within 72 hours of auction end, wire/bank transfer or cash accepted. If payment is not confirmed/received, I reserve the right to sell to the next highest bidder or elsewhere. I also reserve the right to end the auction early for any reason. I’m sure there is something I’m forgetting, so please e-mail me with any questions. Thanks for looking!
