Fahrzeugbeschreibung
Ferrari 308GT4-1975
Nice Ferrari built for the American market with some nice features such as air conditioning and, not to forget, power windows. I know that all the new cars have fancy options like now and air con & power windows are out dated but, people, we"re talking about the 70"s over here when most of the cars were 1.2 -> 1.6 liters and people considered them rockets on wheels.
This car is in mint condition, it can be driven straight away, for any distance because the maintenance has been kept up to date with yearly checks, fluid changes, etc. This car is a nicely engineered vehicle which was, something, like 2 in 1 concept because it has design concepts, elements, of the 365 Dino and also the 246.
This model stands out from most of older Ferraris because it is the base of the current models, having mid-positioned engine, and the famous prancing horse as the modern cars going out the production line.
This car has been completed early "75 featuring the astonishing 7.5 inches Campagnolo wheels, air con, radio and electric wndows. The car went out the factory door wearing silver and the camel leather interior, but the car has been painted red during the eighties.
The heavily documented history of my car shows that the respray was done just that the second owner liked the 308 better on Red with the camel leather combination and he went for it, but please don"t take this respray as a restoration job because it was not, it was just a change in car flavour. The car, again, is in mint condition, never restored, never has had any rust issues, no engine disassembly, only restrictive tuneups done yearly and a lot of predictive maintenance; the buyer will receive the large file documenting everything, along with the original consumer cards, guides, workshop manuals and original books.
This trend of predictive maintenance continued during my time as the car owner and it culminated a few years ago when the carburetors have been rebuilt to brand new standards & specs, the timing belt has been replaced, the tranny has been serviced, new fuel lines, new oil lines, new drive belts, new spark plugs and, of course, brand new clutch.
The car is held in storage, along with few others vehicles that I own, the climate is controlled against humidity and temperature variation, but it is enjoyed a few times a year and boy that"s some hell of an experience...
Please bid by respecting each other, please respect your time and mine, please don"t bid unless the funds are available an you can make the purchase in, let"s say, one week. The payment is preferred in cash, but won"t say no to a certified check or a bank wire. The buyer is responsible to cover the shipping arrangements (logistics and costs) but I can offer assistance if required. I am open minded to pertinent offers.
Cheers!
